The Most Interesting Event (Mt.Lawu)

Tells the story of a mountain , there are always myths and story of people that growing. Much like Lawu , mountain incoming fifth highest on the island of Java, it also has its own story .

Mount the stand very firmly on the altitude of 3,265 mdlp known by the nickname Seven Summits of Java ( Java Seven Summits ) .

For those who have never climbed the peak Lawu have the coldest temperatures of up to minus 5 degrees Celsius, this must have been familiar with the myth of Kyai Starling . That said Kyai Starling is one incarnation of loyal courtiers of King Brawijaya V with the task of keeping Lawu .

Usually starling bird of Lawu is black colour . But special for the mysterious of bird known as Kyai Starling is ivory colour . Not all climbers can meet Kyai starling . Kyai starling is often a guide for the climber who lost . Because it is prohibition for the climbers to disturb Kyai starling .

" But if good intention, Kyai starling will take climbers to the summit of Mount Lawu . Kyai starling meet the climbers , not to harm , but most of its work to keep and be a guide for the climbers .

That is why the mountain is also one of the shaft on the island of Java , many people who believe that is a stopover Lawu UB V which is the last king of Majapahit who eventually disappeared along with his body as muksa .

Every climber who ever climb to the top of Lawu certainly understand the unwritten prohibitions that must be obeyed . For example, when going mountain climbing is forbidden to say the word Lawu Kesel ( achieved ) while on his way to the top .
